Present for the Soul: Day 5

Breathing myself into form…

Let’s start with a few deep breaths and sighs. Anything you did until this moment, leave it behind and let your whole life rest for a few minutes.
See if you have any expectations or goals for today’s session or just for this day in general.

Chose a comfortable place wherever you are and take a few moments to close your eyes and arrive.

Today we will dive into becoming breathing. Sounds perfect, doesn’t it?
We will bring our awareness into our body and navigate our breath through different parts.

You might experience gentle release in different forms such as burping, laughing, crying, little shakes or jerky movements in different parts of your body but IT’S ALL OKAY and part of the process.

Our bodies store all kinds of things: past traumas, hard situations, emotions and collects unnecessary tensions throughout our life. With directed breathing, it can come to the surface and just pop out literally, like an air-bubble. You might not even notice it or you will feel it expanding in your body.

Either way just be aware that it is happening, continue breathing and relax into the ground. There’s no need to identify anything or to pay too much attention because it is happening all by itself.

Life is that amazing. It lets go of what is no longer needed. And so shall we.

After each guided meditation or movement practice, you will receive a task, so you can bring whatever you’ve learned in here into your day, your job, your practice out there. Take the opportunity to create a life where you actually enjoy to exist coherently, in balance with nature, Self and others.

Furthermore, you will also receive an affirmation or mantra for that specific day which you can repeat several ways but here’s my tip for it:

Repeat the sentence mentally (silently) with your exhale for 12 breath cycles (one breath cycle: exhale-inhale) so it can sink all the way to your core.

(Read it after the meditation)

Take a deep breath in…hold it……let it out…

Task:

Write down all the things that spark joy in your life. It may sound cliche but trust me, seeing written down all the things that bring you ease and excitement, feels very-very empowering.

I invite you to take this list and choose one thing every day, for the next few weeks (or until our course finishes) and bring that into life.

Think simple: if dancing is one of the things you wrote, then dedicate 10 minutes of your life to dance that day, put on your favourite song and shake it all out with full power. Or writing, taking long walks…

Make it very simple, easy and possible to accomplish. Observe your breath before/while/after you write each thing.

Affirmation:

“I inhale in order to exhale.”

(Repeat this sentence for 12 breath cycles, with each exhales.)

Take a breath and share with the world!
